------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-15-09 00:17 ------- I have updated the rpm for gnome-terminal to that in the cooker (version gnome-terminal-2.4.0.1). The problem still persists. It eludes me in that this is the only package thus far to have given me any trouble. -- Configure bugmail: http://qa.mandrakesoft.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. ------- Reminder: ------- assigned_to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] status: UNCONFIRMED creation_date: description: Gnome-Terminal is slow to load. When the bash prompt finally comes up, the rest of the system acts rather slow. After consulting top and ps, I noticed that the process for Gnome Terminal was running from anywhere from 82.5% CPU to 93% with a memory pull of around 7.5% to 8%. This problem is repeatable. To ensure that it was not the bash process being spawned, I had tested it with a few other terminal apps including Eterm.
