Do you have the most current kernel (2.4.22-9mdk or newer) installed? Automatic
updating ("urpmi.update -a; urpmi --autoselect") does NOT update the kernel. You
have to update the kernel manually. The early 2.4.22 kernels in Mandrake's
Cooker didn�t detect many USB devices on certain machines.
