DrakX problem, I suspect - probably different installation type
selections. I have no SERVER installations. Perhaps a SERVER
installation does not install quota? And does install nfs-utils?
Mine were both custom development installations with no change to the
package selection.
They were then upgrade-installed to expert development with some
packages added (eg tcpdump) but with none deleted.
This does install quota (which I do not want) and nfs-utils-clients
but not nfs-utils.
7.0-2 did install the nfs daemon, but failed to activate it in
sysvinit. It also left out portmap and the rpc daemons.
7.1 as installed above appears to have no nfs daemon at all! I have
not checked for the others.
