The sleep button is trapped by acpid , and thus should be configurated before
used.

Have you anything in the log related to acpid ?
check /var/log/messages.

and, is suspend-script installed ?

description:
I tried to use the "sleep" button of my computer but nothing happened. I
expected the computer to suspend to disk as Microsoft Windows already does for
years (sorry ;) ). I saw that the "Power" button was not trapped too (see bug
#5665).

With the increasing number of laptop users over desktop PC users (see sells
numbers), the end users will discard Linux Mandrake 9.2 if the "suspend"
functionnality does not work or if it is not easy to use.

Maybe I confuse the "suspend" fonctionnality and the "sleep" one. Do I ?
