you are right, it should be configurated by default, but, i never been able to 
use it, even with the script provided. In fact, the computer went to 
hibernation, but never came back. 
 
I guess that kernel team think it is not stable enough. So, this is for next 
release. Can you try to see suspend-script documentation and see if you have 
more luck than me by using the provided script ?

I tried to use the "sleep" button of my computer but nothing happened. I
expected the computer to suspend to disk as Microsoft Windows already does for
years (sorry ;) ). I saw that the "Power" button was not trapped too (see bug
#5665).

With the increasing number of laptop users over desktop PC users (see sells
numbers), the end users will discard Linux Mandrake 9.2 if the "suspend"
functionnality does not work or if it is not easy to use.

Maybe I confuse the "suspend" fonctionnality and the "sleep" one. Do I ?
