------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-16-09 14:26 ------- Er, I should clarify: "note the very small size" = "note the very small *file* size". It's smaller than the current image (2.5K vs 18K). It could remain very small as long as the color patch didn't take up a lot of physical space (= less of a burden on compression). Of course, the color should be placed within the 640x480 area so it's visible at all resolutions... -- Configure bugmail: http://qa.mandrakesoft.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. ------- Reminder: ------- assigned_to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] status: REOPENED creation_date: description: In the XFree configuration, I chose "test configuration". Some time ago, it was discussed on the Cooker mailing list to have a background image. None appears, just a blank background. This doesn't make it possible to confirm the resolution, just the operation of XFree. (And even then, you have to know that the "x" cursor means that the X server/client is working.) Would it be possible to include something that shows tick marks (at 800x600, 1024x768, ...) for resolutions on some very large, non-scaled image? Then the user can confirm that the correct one was chosen.
