i received the security announce for openssh and went to use urpmi to update
it, but i already seem to have openssh-3.6.1p2-4mdk which i believe must have
been a cooker package at one time, using urpmi tells me that 'everything is
already installed', 'urpmq -r' shows me that openssh-3.6.1p2-1.1.90mdk is
known to urpmi (after i updated my sources - my base system is 9.0), is it a
bug that the new security update package is not seen to be a upgrade or do i
misunderstand the numbering system here? when i went to uninstall the current
openssh and install the specific one mentioned in the security-announce i got
the following:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] bascule]$ rpm -q openssh
openssh-3.6.1p2-4mdk
[EMAIL PROTECTED] bascule]$ sudo urpme openssh
To satisfy dependencies, the following packages are going to be removed (3

openssh-askpass-3.6.1p2-4mdk openssh-clients-3.6.1p2-4mdk draksync-9.0-1mdk
openssh-server-3.6.1p2-4mdk openssh-3.6.1p2-4mdk
Is this OK? (Y/n) y
[EMAIL PROTECTED] bascule]$ sudo urpmi openssh-3.6.1p2-1.1.90mdk
The following packages have to be removed for others to be upgraded:

openssh-askpass-3.6.1p2-4mdk
openssh-clients-3.6.1p2-4mdk

do you agree ? (Y/n) y

Can't call method "create_transaction" on an undefined value at

at which point i stopped because maybe there's a simpler way?
perhaps a newer patched cooker version soon?
