------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-17-09 00:25 -------
I'm using a clean 9.2rc2 with kde - did not change anything in KDE control
center. My SB Audigy Player runs with the alsa "emu10k1" - driver using the
digital out and plays fine.
When opening *any* MP3 - file totem starts playing and in the same second where
sound and visualisation start, an error-window pops up saying (translated from
german):
"The application 'totem' (process-id. 4155)
has crashed because of a serious error:
(Segmentation fault)
Please visit the GNOME-Website about crashed applications to get further
information."
Sound and visualisation keep playing, also if I close the error-window, I can
use all totem controls and menu-items, but if I try to close it sound and vis
stop, and it does not disappear. I have to kill it via xkill to get rid of it...
If you can tell me where to find something like an error-log or how to activate
debug-mode I'll try my best to help!
thanks

9.2rc2: totem just segfaults when playing mp3s - the file plays and the nice
visualisation is floating around, but I only can close totem by using xkill then...
GeFore 4 Ti 4200 with generic driver, SB Audigy Player with Alsa driver, AMD
Athlon 1800+ on SIS 746FX chipset
I would be happy if you could make XINE the default media player. Or XINE for
video and XMMS for audio. And mplayer and videolan would be nice optional players...
Thanks!
