Hello,
On my machine, MSI 6380 with Athlon 1600+ (bios v. 1.9), the system hangs at
startup when I put acpi=on at the command line. ACPI used to work with Mandrake
9.1. This is very similar to a bug I reported weeks ago on my laptop (sorry,
can't remember the number).
