Well, as what is proposed is a *choice* list, there isn't any real "default";
I mean, there is not a value pre-set that you have to unset if you don't want it;
The order of preference could be changed; what should it be ?
(I'm also a bit surprised to read Dutch keyboards are not sold on NL; where does
the Dutch keyboard layout come from then? or was it sold some time ago and fall
in disuse?)

I installed Mandrake with "Nederlands" (Dutch) as the default language. It then
suggests
a few keyboards, and the default choice annex suggestion is "US International"; this
is
incorrect, our default keyboard is "US".
