Yes I know, but this is not a problem, <hr /> is not the right solution. They must be stripped from XHTML and replaced by a border in the CSS. This is cosmetic. The job is not finished ! Doing a conversion of a page to XHTML strict is not enough. A valid page is necessary but not suffisant. There is yet some other modifications to do. It is possible to have a correct picture with all the browsers as http://www.openweb.eu.org/ But the few rules which are necessary are not yet applied. I made this XHTML to evaluate the time to spend on the site and the difficulty. Now, I can tell that the job is rather easy. I have spent 2 hours to make the XHTML with vi. The number of errors was >250 at the beginning. As the code is generated with PHP, this is the time to modify all the modules which are used to generate this page. A main CSS which gives the general appearance of the site must be shared by all the pages. Specific cascaded CSS give the few specificities of each page. -- Pierre Jarillon - http://pjarillon.free.fr/ Vice-prsident de l'ABUL : http://abul.org/
