------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-04-10 19:45 ------- Now it's OK, everything works - the thing is that after install the dns was set to localhost (127.0.0.1) and not 10.1.1.1, as I set during the install. > did you choose zeroconf like connection? I don't know ... what's zeroconf ? I selected to configure network, 'detect automatically' was checked and expert mode unchecked; it found lan connection, I unchecked dhcp, entered my ip (10.1.1.19), dns and gateway (both 10.1.1.1). And then after first boot I saw dns set to 127.0.0.1 and eth0 disconnected at start. -- Configure bugmail: http://qa.mandrakesoft.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. ------- Reminder: ------- assigned_to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] status: ASSIGNED creation_date: description: It's not a big problem, but I thought I'd report it anyway ... I installed Mdk 9.2 RC1, and during the installation I set up the connection through lan card - dns & gateway = 10.1.1.1. When I logged in for the first time and tried to enter some page with konqueror, it failed. I tried "ping 10.1.1.1" from the konsole and it said something like "connect: no buffer available". I ran control center and then the internet connection wizard, and clicked on the top button (change computer name, or sth like that). And I saw there that dns was set to "127.0.0.1". When I set it back to "10.1.1.1" the connection was established. But why did it change at all?
