I've tested this for some time and here's what I know:
There are two separate problems:

1) When I log in, I haven't got internet connection. Ping 10.1.1.1 from konsole
says "connect: No buffer space available", and drakconnect from drakconf says
"status: testing your connection" and then "not connected". When I press
"connect...", eth0 goes down, then up, and then status changes to "connected".
Then everything works. But after reboot, it is again not connected, I have to
connect it manually.

2) When I log in, the DNS is set to 127.0.0.1. I change it to 10.1.1.1, and
after reboot it is changed back to 127.0.0.1.

I didn't know what means "zeroconf computer name", and last time I entered my
computer name in that field. Now I left it blank, but this doesn't change anything.

It's not a big problem, but I thought I'd report it anyway ...

I installed Mdk 9.2 RC1, and during the installation I set up the connection
through lan card - dns & gateway = 10.1.1.1. When I logged in for the first
time and tried to enter some page with konqueror, it failed. I tried "ping
10.1.1.1" from the konsole and it said something like "connect: no buffer
available". I ran control center and then the internet connection wizard, and
clicked on the top button (change computer name, or sth like that). And I saw
there that dns was set to "127.0.0.1". When I set it back to "10.1.1.1" the
connection was established. But why did it change at all?
