9.2 is finalised and gone to duplication. It's way too late. You have to learn to let go, man. :D
True, but I think the question was: can it be provided in the online updates at the end of 9.2 install. While this is usually reserved for secutiry updates, this may be an exception, since instant messaging is rampant, gaim is the most useful client for it, and the shipped version is essentially useless for all but ICQ and jabber...
Personally, I think the update is a good idea, but Vincent has recently shown that I know nothing about updates in general. :-)
