I have been thinking one line further. Let me first state that I think that the way Vedran's proposal was discussed is not a good Linux way. As I understand the Linus way, he lets interested people go their way and if it is good when it is delivered it is accepted. As an example go to http://portal.suse.com/sdb/en/categories/index.html There you have a database ready for search on items SuSe finds interesting, like: Autoinstall Boot ConsoleApps Documentation Facsimile, Hylafax Installation Internet Access KDE Kernel Network Other Printing Sound SuSE FAQ X11Apps XFree86 YaST AFAIK Vedran had some twenty years of database experience and wanted to do a database more suited for a search based on newbie entries. What could be wrong with such an evolution of the Mdk way? To my understanding the entries in such a database could very well contain all text added to a WIKI 'forrest'. I think you should ask Vedran to start his new work and everybody interested could add text as needed. regards guran -- Mandrake Linux Cooker 9.2 kernel-2.4.22.10mdk-1-1mdk VERSION:20030924 21:50 Only in a society that has 'a priori' defined what is the truth can the result from the evolution of life be defined false.
