If you have ever tried to use gimp for serious work - you will realise how cumbersome and not up to the job it is.... sorry to say that, but it is true... even the user interface in gimp takes a while to get used to, its layers are a nightmare to use compared to potatoshop
Your subject should have read GIMP not as good as Photoshop.... What a pity!
