Check the cooker archives for a script that takes out the repeating path
additions.  The author of the post was Ruskin, I believe, and the subject was
kde2.

Much of the rest will have to wait for the "Mandrake touch".  That is,
integration with current system.  Right now, we still have two more betas to
preview.
