Just in case you were still locked to icewm (could be worst, for me it
was twm :-) )...
/etc/x11/window-managers is no more used, and was removed by last
mandrakedesk package, not by KDE2.
You'll have to add an entry in /etc/X11/wmsessions.d for each windows
manager package not still compliant with this new system. Each entry is
a separate text file named after the windows-manager it corresponds to,
prefixed by an order number (as for /etc/rc.d/ scripts) : 1KDE, 2Gnome,
..., 6Sawfish. Content of these file it the same as what once just a
section in /etc/X11/windows-manager. Here is mine for Gnome :
NAME=Gnome
ICON=Gnome.xpm
DESC=The another fabulous desktop
EXEC=/usr/bin/gnome-session
SCRIPT:
exec gnome-session
For kde, it must be something as :
NAME=KDE 2
ICON=kde.xpm
DESC=The fabulous desktop (new version)
EXEC=/usr/bin/startkde
SCRIPT:
startkde
Hope it helps
