Why do you still ship xv in the main distribution?  Sure, some years ago,
there wasn't much of a choice, but nowadays there are alternatives like
display or ee (to name a few) which are licensed under the GPL, and not some
Shareware license.

What are the reasons that xv is in the main distribution and not in the
contrib area?
