I have some thoughts on this....

hmmm... don't be. Why on earth would we really want to announce all of the
below, have someone try it, not like it and switch to a different
distribution?

Did I see the word "Alpha" mentioned here? Someone is going to have
problems. A lot of the kernel patches and stuff Chmouel already includes
but with a LOT of testing, rebuilding, testing, rebuilding ....

Hmm... They sort of made it official by releasing it like this. How would
it look if we said "Here is our unofficial beta" ? yeh, right.

No such item. 2.4 kernel is not stable.

provided in cooker, but the stable version.

wonder what version they included? In cooker the cvs date is 8-1-2000 (or
for those who like dates backwords: 2000-08-01 -:) ) By announcing this
they have frozen their kde2 at a very unstable place. I suspect they
included 1.92 (the beta code) this is already almost 3 weeks old.

I need to rebuild almost daily to get the bug fixes into cooker.

David F. is working on konqy... and is constantly fixing more bugs! These
get into my almost daily builds.

VERY VERY VERY dangerous sending this to a re-seller.
