While configuring the sound for gnomeicu I found that either there is a
bug in the wav playing routines of esd, or some of the licq wav files
are corrupted:
[nito@fulgore:/usr/share/licq/sounds/icq]$ esdplay File.wav
esdplay: wave.c:64: ParseFormat: Assertion `formatTag ==
WAVE_FORMAT_PCM' failed.
Aborted
[nito@fulgore:/usr/share/licq/sounds/icq]$ esdplay
Auth.wav Contact.wav Message.wav System.wav
Chat.wav File.wav Online.wav URL.wav
[nito@fulgore:/usr/share/licq/sounds/icq]$ esdplay Online.wav
[nito@fulgore:/usr/share/licq/sounds/icq]$
They play fine with "play" but not with "esdplay"; maybe esdplay does
more checking on thefile format ...
