I'd add that french-localized menu have problems with accentued
characters, that are remplaced along with the next one by an
interrogation point. Moreover, back to gnome, all KDE menu entries are
aliased, and some appears directly at the first level (KCOntrol, KHelp,
and Home directory).

I confirm i had the same problem. I had also tried Konqueror and KWrite,
and the first complained about DCOP services no being started, the
second about MIME type not found.

Finally, i was surprised to have user icons in my gdm login screen once
kde package installed : such a kde package dependency has to be
corrected IMHO.
