I can only tell you, that it runs on a debian machine at the
high school where I'm studying, don't know which printer driver
is installed there though :-(.

ghostscript includes the so called uniprint drivers where you
can add your own if you have the correct printer commands (from
your manual). By searching in the internet I found such for my
BJC6000 (and BJC6100) printer. Probably you will find such for
this printer as well. You can also try the linux printer homepage
(I don't know the URL though :-( )

There is support for gimp by the (now alpha version) of gimp-print.
This works very well for my printer. Try gimp-print.sourceforge.net
or sourceforge.net/projects/gimp-print. I also created a SPEC file
for that one. Supported are Epson, Canon and HP Printers as well
as Postscript Level1/2 and the Lexmark 4076.

Best regards,

Reinhard Katzmann

P.S.: Did you try out the new cups package ? Don't know which
additional printers are included there but it would be nice to
know if Canon BJC6000 and the Epson is included there.
