Thanks for checking up on this, I also did and found the same : )
Problem is the kernel simply isn't picking up the printer(2.4.0-test*).
Which I'm gonna look into this, though I remember when upgraded to mdk 7.1
with a 2.2.x kernel it does the same thing, the kernel nor user space
programs can see it.
Which i'm now off on a mission to find out what the deal is : )
