| Sure we compile with pentium optimizations so the requirement is Pentium,

Will I get performance boost if download sources and compile on Pentium III
(my primary computer is Pentium III/600) ? Or performace boost will be
insignificant, and better not to do it?
Second question: I was thinking to buy one more PC, most probably AMD Athlon-
or Duron-based desktop/minitower. Are there special optimizations for those
processors, and if recompilation for them will speed system?
