for those of us with an existing ext2 partition could maybe the install disc just drop a tarball with the base system on it? so what if fstab is broken (boot disk anyone?) and you have just a drum beat primitive system (include an ncurses front end to RPM and im happy). Ii challenge any Mandrake Employee to give me step by step on how to install Mandrake on a Zip 250 (base + x + net + any WM) Robert L Martin (just to make things simple the Zip is sdb4 and i have a Zip 100 as sda4)
