I just did a clean install (expert development system) from the iso
image and found a few problems.

1) When in the disk partitioning part of the install, if you mount a
partition and then unmount it, when you go on, it will not offer to let
you format that partion.

2) The chat script created by the program to dial up my PPP connection
is invalid. Here is what it produced:
------
'ABORT' 'BUSY'
'ABORT' 'ERROR'
'ABORT' 'NO CARRIER'
'ABORT' 'NO DIALTONE'
'ABORT' 'Invalid Login'
'ABORT' 'Login incorrect'
'' 'ATZ'
'OK'
'ATDT'
'ATDT7038298111'
'CONNECT' ''
'TIMEOUT' '5'
'~--' ''
------

3) USB modems still are not supported. The install doesn't load the USB
modem driver (acm.o). After install, the system doesn't try to load the
module the way it needs to until you modify the usb init file
(/etc/init.d/usb). This is pretty much the same way it was in 7.1 and I
made comments during its beta.

4) I cannot get XFree86 4.0.1 to load correctly with my graphics card.
The card is a Hercules Dynamite 128/Video (based off the Tseng Labs
ET6000). I get errors that about around six functions are referenced in
tseng.o but unresolved. I don't have the error message right now since
I screwed up and copied the wrong file to my dos partition before I
rebooted into windows. I had this exact same problem trying the betas
in 7.1 as well and commented at the time. I researched this back then
and my card is supposed to be supported from what I have read. If
anyone is going to look into this, contact me and I will send you the
full log from trying to configure it.
