[Cooker] rpm's not installing

I updated my cooker files today and decided to update the packages via 
mandrake update. Packages would not install and on some packages it caused my 
comp to freeze up. rpm -uvh from the cl gives the following error message.
        VM: do_try_to_free_pages failed for kswapd...
        VM: do_try_to_free_pages failed for rpm...
        VM: killing process rpm Killed
