no problem...just fiddle a bit and you'll find a number of ways to do what
you want...in example, you could just kick the whole panel aside, create
icons for those progs, if any, that you'd like, arrange them at the bottom of
the desktop, and use them instead of the panel...alternately you could use
one of the minimalist desktop managers, and still have access to all your
kde2 apps...i'm sure with a bit of exploration, you'll find many others...the
tools are there...play with 'em a bit...

remember, this is still beta...as in building houses, the cute little
knick-knacks come in at the final stage, after the important work is
finished...
