I dont have notes with me now, but I have a Bttv 8448 card and support
for
it has been never able by me to be compiled in correctly or module
loaded
correctly under Mdk or any linux. Also have looked for the howtos or
the
kwintv site or the hauppage site,

i have most likely the same card as you do and my tv card worked from oh
day
4 of my first install (i have to insmod bttv.o but...) the rpm of XAWTV
works great
my current XAWTV was compiled from a stock 7.1 install and other than
the dga bug its fine
