I really like the way the gnome startup logo and the gdm screen
change with every new version. Reminds me at the gimp development.
I found out why the menus in the main menu disappear. The reason
is the favourite menu. If this one is not marked as beeing in the
main menu the main menu is not there too. The problem is of course
that if you have many entries for favourites the main menu still
disappears. So to remove the bug, these two menu functions have
to be distinguished (until that I won't use favourites :-( ).
This happens for both the main as well as the panel menu.
The default settings can be set manually as well in the files
"panel" and "panel.d/default/Applet_Config", where you should
search for the menu_flags. The value is: 26629, which is just the
setting which I described above.
