Postmasters,
I have been seeing a number of duplicate e-mails and have now decided to get to
the bottom as they are getting irritating...
Below is a test message I sent to [EMAIL PROTECTED] (culled from a duplicated
message), an account which in my opinion should NOT exist. While I understand
that SkyBest gets most of its services from InfoAve, it appears to me that
InfoAve have not provided clear isolation of services to its downstream ISPs and
subscribers.
It is possible to virtualize the mailers so as to at least make it appear there
are several separate mailers. Instead, by using the same mailer to process mail
for at least these domains:
- infoave.net
- skybest.com
- hargray.com
users who participate in various mailing lists are subjected to duplication of
messages. In my case, messages I send to a list are forwarded by the list
server to:
- [EMAIL PROTECTED]
- [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Granted, some list servers should be smarter; then again, maybe they are by
using the originating mailer's name rather than what is [possibly
mis-]configured or masqueraded in the sender's mail agent.
PLEASE, learn to configure this common mail server as several distinct
domain-specific mail servers to overcome these types of problems. Such change
will also greatly increase your client namespace by allowing [EMAIL PROTECTED]
and [EMAIL PROTECTED] (others?) to be separate clients other than myself.
Thanks for your attention,
Pierre Fortin
