But would they release a Mandrake with a unstable kernel? He said that if gcc3
is not released, Mandrake will release a unstable gcc for the next release. 
Since I dont know the roadmap for gcc3 I don't know how big this risk is. Does
anyone know about when they plan to release gcc3? If this is not planed to
happen in about 6 month I think this is just plain stupid, but if it's suposed
to be released soon I might buy your arguments.

So when are they planing to release gcc3? In 6 month? A year?
