Okay, because *I* wanted to use reiserfs partitions and because I chose
Expert install, I kinda expected that reiserfs partitions would be made when
I instructed the install program to do the partitioning for me.

If the default is to not do reiserfs, than that's fine. gee, that was such
a totally irrelevant point of my whole post. i simply jotted down what came
to mind, and that was something which i noticed.

Okay, you wan't to talk about the defaults, it seems.

I would like the install programm to make reiserfs partitions by default,
because access is faster and there's no lengthy fsck at bootup. And I
personally didn't have any problems whatsoever since I started using
reiserfs about a year (? dunno) ago. For me it works like a charm. So,
what are the reasons that ext2 is still created? It's slower and well,
takes longer at boot. I don't see any advantages in ext2.

PS: These are *MY* experiences, if other people had worse experiences,
that's bad. I'm not saying that because I don't have probs, noone should.

PPS: I hope I helped some, and especially Guillaume, to understand me
better now.
