Hi,
I can connect it seems if I log on as root and go surf. however if I go on as a user,
which afaik I am supposed to do my internet connect slows to a stop after about 3
minutes.
The last time I went on as root I got this information, hopefully enough I hope for
you to
help me, added as an attachment

On connecting I am able to load web pages quickly, I am attempting to get the groups
list from the isp news server which starts quickly then quits. I can initially
download
mail. After my web browsers and news program have halted I can still ping my isp and
yahoo.com. I just can't do anything else.
