It depends upon what you call freeze problems :
- either the computer is really frozen (no process scheduled);
- either the computer is kneeing because of apps taking up all cpu and
memory, and using the disk a lot.
This last one occured to me several times (although I have a lot of
memory). It was netscape or konqueror fault, I suppose. Even a ssh
session take many minutes to open up from another computer. It was so
deterrent that I had to hard reboot the faulty linux box.
