I agree that that is how things SHOULD be. But MandrakeSoft states
that the cooker mailing list is the proper support channel for new
releases - I asked them after 7.1 was released. That will be so
until MandrakeSoft changes that policy.
With the splitting off of the 7.2beta tree from cooker, they should
probably have introduced a 7.2beta mailing list and after release
made it defunct (like the 7.2beta tree).
