I use the stock 4.0.1 server ( Works much bettern than the 3.3.6 one ). 
The *only* thing I hadto do is to add a mode line for the 1400x1050. The
odd thing is that the monitor configuration on install *does* have an
entry for the ThinkPad 1400x1050 (ThinkPad A20p) display.
