Interesting. I am runnign 7.2, nothing special, installed with a development 
install and when I  check on joe, I find:

[molnarc@cmhplap SPECS]$ rpm -q joe
joe-2.8-21mdk
[molnarc@cmhplap SPECS]$


This was a clean install, no update, no additional rpm's (It's my build 
machine).
