Hmmm.... Interesting, after I initially thought that I was wrong, and I'm
going to need to apologize to you, I did a search of ALL 4 CDs that came
with me Linux Mandrake 7.2 Complete installation (MacMillan), and, guess
what - joe is nowhere to be found (along with ncftp, and I'm sure others as
well).
So, not only will I request an apology from you, my friend, but I will ask
again: "WHY IS JOE MISSING from this Mandrake 7.2 'complete'?" (and ncftp as
well), and who made this decision?
This does beg the question - how many different versions of Mandrake 7.2 are
out there, all labeled as 7.2, with no way for the consumer to differentiate
them?
I bought mine from a hardware dealer, it is a legitimate MacMaillan package,
listed as 'Linux-Mandrake 7.2 Complete'. The KDE shipped with it, though is
billed as 2.0 prerelease candidate 1 (in other words, 1.99), yet it clearly
is NOT the single disk set from Wal-Mart.
So, while I was willing to buy the various rationales for having to ship to
WalMart on time, what is the reason behind the package that I have, which is
clearly inferior to the distro that others are using, as well as the copies
that certain reviewers have received...?
I think this is a valid question, now that it turns out that I was
apparently gipped in the money that I just spent!
