I just checked out the ac4 patch for last kernel and noted several patches that are 
related to issues rised in a previous post. So I tested it and:
SMB seems to work as in previous kernels. 
NCP performance rose a little bit but keeps being miserable. 
NFS seems to not behave so wild as before. Most rates are the same as previous kernels.
Disk-to-disk copies seem to have "calmed down" into a constant rate. 

Problems with aviplay were gone. It seems there is a bug on procfs that causes aviplay 
to buzz off, while searching register settings.

PS: For the user's angels here... I perfectly know what "ac##" stands for... Ground 0 
at Atol Muroroa. Might be nothing, might be Godzilla roaming inside your computer...
