The Lexmark printers are crap, in my opinion. CUPS is supposed to support
them, but even though several of my fellow geeks and I worked like hell
several times to make my Lexmark Z-11 printer work with CUPS and it just
wouldn't happen. I have spoken with several people with the same experience.
I ended up plunking down the cash for a nice new canon. It's a much better
printer than that $99 crap anyway. I'd recommend you doing the same thing. I
mean, the Z-11 and two other Lexmarks I owned printed like crap under
Winblows and jammed all the time anyway. Linux is just saving you from
owning a p.o.s.
