memo - use short dir name for cooker

trying nfs install of cooker, mirrored 05/01/01...

boots, trundles thro to NFS setup asking for server name - 192.168.0.2
Mandrake directory -
/home/stephen/downloads/mandrake/devel/cooker/Mandrake

it IS the Mandrake dir I want isn't it ?

showmount -e node2 from another box shows (all r/o btw)
/home/stephen/downloads/mandrake/devel/cooker/Mandrake *.flat3
/home/stephen/downloads/mandrake/devel/contrib *.flat3
/home/stephen/downloads/mandrake/devel/cooker *.flat3
/home/downloads/mandrake/devel/contrib/ *.flat3
/home/downloads/mandrake/devel/cooker/ *.flat3
usr/local *.flat3
/mnt/cdrom *.flat3
/home *.flat3

the messages vary, but either permission denied or no such device
the Mandrake directory field also seems to mess its history up,
you end up with something like /home/stephen/home/stephen......
if you dont clear it with lots of backspaces :-(

the relevant directories do nfs mount when running a vanilla 7.2 of
dubious origin date (proper purchase - deluxe - wrong date )

btw how do you export a tree, ie all dirs below /home
/home/* *.flat3(r/o) ????????????
