Well, every modification I make to "/usr/share/config/kdmrc"
is ignored. The ones I'm interested in are "SessionTypes" which
are modified by "mandrake_everytime", "UserIDLow", and "UserView".

None of them are evaluated, looking at kdm's logon screen.

Nice attitude, but *please* read the whole story before
answering...

I am using Cooker's RPMs, and these show this weird
behaviour. The original posting was meant as a bug report
to Mandrake, as I could not find any other way to report
the "bug"...

So the kdm is the one from "kdebase-2.1-0.20010112.2mdk",
which is obviously the KDE2 one...

So do I. An "strace -f" did not show any open attempt
to the config file. That makes me suspicious...

Are you using kde1's kdm? Perhaps this one did really
read the "kdmrc" file, kdm2 does not, to my investigations...
