I boot in level 3, log in as a user and use startx. Without
/etc/sysconfig/desktop, it does not work. I have been stuck too many times to
boot straight in level 5.
At work, I am using NFS over a slow network (VPN crap), and these fancy log
screens take forever to fetch the possible users.
