Even with Aurora I can still see all the kernel messages on tty1 before
kdm starts. Can't we start kdm in the background and wait for it to be up,
and then switch over from Aurora in a way that looks seemless to the user?
Even better would be if the fb logo could cover the extier screen before
Aurora started so you couldn't see those beginning kernel messgages
either, though it seems another copy of Aurora with messages might run on
another tty for the experienced user to switch over to in case something
goes wrong.
