Read the message. Besides if you have ever used Aurora it does cover over
the messages. What I said was twofold: #1 Make sure Aurora stays visible
(if in init 5) until kdm starts. Otherwise the user can see all the boot
messages for a few seconds or more from the time Aurora changes tty's
until kdm starts. #2 If the fb logo was full screen, and even with Aurora,
the messages would just go to another tty. Personally I like tty12 but I
think that is the one Aurora is using. So it could go to tty2, or a
file. In any case the messages are still there for you to see, and can
obviously be disabled if you want by not using Aurora, or moreso not using
framebuffer if you don't have to.
