Hello crashtesters,
I did an upgrade of my running cooker. Now there is a problem with
XFree.
gcc-java needs libgcj => 2.96 but I can find no such RPM.
/etc/sysconfig/desktop I had to edit so the Gnome would start. It
had "DESKTOP=GNOME" and I had to change it to just "GNOME".
I had to recreate the System.map link in boot.
Once I made all the changes, the system boots fine and X and Gnome
start just fine. But when I exit back to the console the system
locks up with a scramble screen and the last sound looping. I have
to hit the reset but and then boot to a rescue disk to run e2fsck.
