In previous posts I mentioned that urpmi continually failed on my machine since I updated to 8beta. I think I have discovered what the problem was: I have the files for cooker in a directory called /home/downloads/cooker and /home is a separate partition. During the installation when I chose that partition I told the installer it was in downloads/cooker on that partition. I uninstalled urpmi and dependents and reinstalled it and created new lists and now it works. I believe the problem is it was looking for the packages in downloads/cooker which is a subdirectory of /home and it wasn't aware of that. Any ideas or thoughts on that? Unfortunately fixing this didn't fix my rpmdrake segfault. It's still there.
