Clean install this morning.
My card: Matrox G400 AGP 32 MB
My monitor: 17" CTX 1792UA (30-95 kHz; 50-160 Hz)
I normally run at 1280x1024 32-bit. I just got a black screen when setting X
in the installer, so I tried again after first boot.
I could only get 640x480 or 800x600 - that's no use to me :-(
The answer was to get the driver from Matrox - now I can run at 1280x1024
32-bit again.
OK, I fixed mine, but a new Windoze convert would probably have abandoned the
idea of trying linux.
